It has come to that juncture where Human pursuit for higher standards of living has irrevocably damaged their own home. Not the four walls that you pay rent to but the bigger host who charges you by your life expectancy. Like the 2 year old child curious to discover and explore its territory (your cabinet, store, or kitchen) only to leave a path of destruction unaware of the multitude of damage but only acknowledging his/her celebratory achievements of climbing to new heights.
Climate Change is deeper than what your scientist so technically explains. The math and equations are always so hard to grasp but the facts are always the same.
- Fact: Yes, Carbon Dioxide levels are rising
- Fact: Yes, Green energy is the future
- Fact: Yes, my wallet gets dry when oil prices go up
All these facts lead to the same bottom line: Humans must change their lifestyles and climate change is a symptom of poor resource management:
§ An inability for homes to manage their own resources such as water, electricity and fuel.
§ An inability for industry to manage its supply chain
If efficiency, productivity, profitability are 3 words wholly preached as sermons in business courses in learning institutions, why can’t our managers manage our resources effectively to reduce waste. Our managers, directors lack strategic thinking to manage their resources in an efficient way, motivate their staff to embrace the organization vision and incite productivity to ensure profitability.
Are we paying the price for poor leadership?
Should we rethink our management strategies before we end up destroying ourselves?
